SpectrumAnalyzer

Currently, there are a few applications Microsoft has developed, or are developing.

These include the SoftWifi application, a software version of 802.11 a/b/g that can fully communicate with any other network device, and shows up in Windows as a network device.

Another application consists of the Software Spectrum Analyzer, a form of radar mapping (as seen in the image to the right, found on page 14 of the Sora whitepaper) of currently used spectrums.

The 802.11b package mentioned previously shows the ability to implement 802.11b via SoftWifi, while DUT.EXE, included in the basic SoraSDK, allows for simple transmission and reception, just not at the frequency required for WiFi.
